U-Hauls are great, they are able to store materials, create space as they are a moving wall, move simply and most importantly are affordable to rent (this project was completed in under $1000). The natural attraction to mylar (the foily balloon material you give to a loved one for their birthday) led to experimenting; cutting, hanging, wrapping, filling with air were some of the ways to tested the durable, yet inexpensive material. We came up with an interactive, trippy solution which not only would be eye catching but would allow for interesting spatial conditions within the tentacles of the mylar.
